Before change:

Tasks are always scheduled in daily granulation.

Eg. if there are 4 tasks in total, each taking 4 h then they will be scheduled day after day, taking 4 days total.

After change:

Scheduling of tasks takes hours into account when assigning tasks day by day.

Eg. if there are 4 tasks in total, each taking 4 h then they will be scheduled in pairs for each day, taking 2 days total.
